Extensive Exterior Protection in Jefferson City, Missouri

Do you often feel the need to look back at your car after parking?  Do you wish it could look freshly washed all the time?  The most recent developments in paint protection are products commonly referred to as ceramic coatings. These coatings are made from materials that are more durable than the polymers found in traditional sealants and waxes giving you a more durable, longer lasting protection. In addition to forming a very strong bond with the clear coat finish, a coating is generally much thicker than a wax or sealant, creating a sacrificial layer that can absorb damage and better protect the paint underneath. The thickness gives it a great depth of gloss that's hard to achieve with other products. Most coatings will easily give years of protection when properly applied. Your car will look cleaner for longer and the process of washing will be a breeze when you choose a hydrophobic ceramic coating from Mid-Mo Dents.  Your car or truck will turn heads, including your own.

The Benefits of Ceramic Coating

Weather and road debris can be rough on a vehicle.  One of the main benefits to applying a professional ceramic coating to your vehicle is the protective layer it provides.  It prevents your factory paint from coming into contact with the elements and common road hazards. By forming a molecular bond with your finish, the ceramic coatings at Mid-Mo Dents cure over your clear coat or paint protection film, hardening into an ultra-slick surface that keeps all types of solid and liquid contaminants from latching to your surface.

In doing so, a noteworthy byproduct of the coating is that your vehicle’s paintwork will be glossier in ways otherwise unattainable by uncoated finishes. From magnifying sparkle to showing off dimensional depth, ceramic coatings are a leader in paint protection and maintaining your vehicle's value longer.

Advantages of a Ceramic Coating

  • Enhances the gloss of your vehicle's paint
  • Vehicle stays cleaner longer
  • Adds an additional layer of protection
  • Instantly repels water
  • No need for waxing throughout life of the coating
  • Makes removing bugs a breeze
  • Repels mud, dirt, and debris
  • Cost effective

  • I brought my car to Mid MO Dents because I had some scratches and swirls in the clear coat. They were able to buff all of them out, even some ones I didn’t think they would be able to. I also had them apply their five-year ceramic coating. The car looks better than it did when it was new. I highly recommend this business.

FAQs about Ceramic Coatings

  • What is a ceramic coating?

Ceramic coatings are extremely durable vehicle protection systems. Depending on the coating used they are suitable for use on paintwork, wheels, glass, and plastic trim.

The basic chemical composition of a ceramic coating is Silicon Dioxide (SiO2). Ceramic coatings may also be referred to as quartz or glass coatings.

  • Why should I get a ceramic coating?

It’s a good investment to permanently protect the exterior from deteriorating prematurely and maintain a higher resale value. Less maintenance due to the slickness of the coating won’t allow dirt, brake dust, and road tar to stick to your paint, wheels, or glass nearly as much making cleaning your vehicle a much more enjoyable and effortless process. Not to mention you will see the ultimate gloss and color depth not comparable to anything else. Properly maintained vehicles will shine like new for many years to come.

  • How is the ceramic coating applied

The coating is carefully applied by certified applicator’s as a liquid one panel at a time covering the exterior painted surfaces. The paintwork is firstly decontaminated and prepared to ensure the coating achieves a good bond to the paintwork.

  • How long do they last?

This will depend on the type of coating and the environment in which the car is driven and stored. There will also be a dependency on how well the coating is maintained. In four instances Ceramic Pro forms a highly durable bond with the paintwork which can last a number of years on a well-maintained car.

Ceramic Pro is resistant to chemicals so it will not be washed away by strong car wash shampoos and cleaning chemicals. However aggressive car washing with brushes or automatic car washes will reduce the lifespan of the product. We recommend only washing your car with microfiber cloths.

As with any paintwork treatment, good, regular maintenance is required for the best results and longevity of the product.

Ceramic Coatings can be removed by abrasion such as machine polishing, cutting compounds, or cut and polish. Neglect such as failure to wash the vehicle regularly (weekly or fortnightly) can also reduce the performance and durability of the product.

  • Ceramic coatings are low-maintenance, so why do they need to be detailed?

Because ceramic coatings are not completely indestructible against swirls, scratches, paint chips, or abrasive surface damage, keeping them clean when the need arises keeps them looking high quality and staying effective. Likewise, ceramic coatings require professional detailing to maintain their lifetime warranties, as opposed to public car washes, as those drive-thru efforts can and will scratch them or cause marring.

  • What is the recommended Maintenance Regimen?

We advise that every 12 months the vehicle is thoroughly decontaminated by the removal of any road tar, iron, tree sap, and industrial fallout deposits that may have accumulated. Following that, we will apply a SIO2 sealant to rejuvenate the ceramic coating and enhance its hydrophobic properties.

Our Premium Mini Detail package slightly reworked with a different finishing product that contains high SiO2 content sealant is ideal for this.
